Anatomy and sensory distribution of the supraorbital, supratrochlear, infraorbital, and mental nerves.

Regional Anesthesia/Blocks

Supraorbital nerve block is often used to accomplish regional anesthesia of the face innervated by the supraorbital nerve. The supraorbital nerve supplies sensory innervation of the upper eyelid, forehead and scalp with extension to the lambdoidal suture line.

Infraorbital nerve block is often used to accomplish regional anesthesia of the face innervated by the infraorbital nerve. The infraorbital nerve supplies sensory innervation of the lower eyelid, side of the nose and upper lip.

Mental Nerve Block

Mental nerve block which is a branch of the inferior alveolar nerve and is often used to accomplish regional anesthesia of the face innervated by the mental nerve. Provides anesthesia of the lower lip and skin innervating the chin.

Local Anesthesia Via Klein Solution

We have several different multi-injectors as shown in the picture. These different attachments allow us to deliver a dilute Klein Solution into both the skin and sub-dermal tissues.

Additionally we can utilize traditional normal strength Klein Solution via installation cannulas and an infiltration pump. This instills local anesthetic in the subcutaneous space to allow for liposuction.
