VTone

VTone

VTone is specifically designed to strengthen the muscles associated with incontinence and is FDA-cleared to improve all types of urinary incontinence including stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence, and mixed incontinence.

The Science

VTone utilizes electromagnetic energy to deliver thousands of pelvic floor muscle contractions in a single session. These contractions simulate Kegel exercises effectively re-educating and strengthening a woman’s pelvic floor muscles to decrease urinary incontinence and improve the quality of life.

In addition to strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, VTone can help restore the muscle tone of the vaginal canal and vulva, resulting in increased sensation during intercourse as well as a more youthful appearance of the vulva.

Benefits:

  • Non-invasive
  • Highly effective
  • No downtime
  • Pain-Free treatment

What to Expect

Treatments are comfortable, safe, and have no down time. VTone treats all types of urinary incontinence, decreased sensation, and the aesthetic appearance of the vulva and/or vagina.

Once the bladder is emptied you will undress from the waist down, clean the treatment area, and lie down on the procedure table. The VTone probe is coated with ultrasound gel and inserted intravaginally. Once placed, you will straighten your legs and cross your ankles to maintain proper placement of the probe during the treatment. The device will be started at the lowest energy level and is increased until the pelvic floor muscles begin to contract. You will be shown how to adjust the energy level setting, allowing you to control the strength of the contractions based on your comfort level. The treatments last 20 minutes, after which you will remove the probe, clean the treatment area, and empty your bladder before you leave the clinic.

Typically, the best results with VTone are seen in six 20-minute treatments received weekly. Just like any muscle in the body, pelvic floor muscles will need to be exercised to maintain their strength. Depending on the starting strength of your pelvic floor, maintenance sessions may be needed monthly, every few months or twice a year. These should be scheduled when you start experiencing symptoms again.

Pre/Post Treatment

Pre-Treatment

Treatment cannot be performed if you have an active infection or rash. If you do, please call the clinic to reschedule your appointment.

Treatment may be performed if you are currently menstruating, however, don’t hesitate to call the clinic to reschedule your appointment if you prefer to postpone your treatment.

Just prior to starting your treatment, you should empty your bladder. This will ensure that the muscle contractions won’t put uncomfortable pressure on your bladder during the treatments.

Post Treatment

Before you leave the clinic after your treatment, you should empty your bladder. This will help avoid a urinary tract infection.

You can resume normal activities immediately.
