Dr. Julius Balogh, MD, MHA

Dr. Julius Balogh, MD, MHA opened Recover Restore Revive with his wife due to a shared interest in providing comprehensive care to patients from all backgrounds with some of the latest medical technology. Dr. Balogh’s medical vision for his practice includes focusing on each individual’s health goals by providing a proactive treatment plan for recovery, restoration, and longevity. His personal story of hormone replacement therapy coupled with complex management of cholesterol and thyroid medications fuels his passion for education around this subject to both athletes and non-athletes alike. He is double board certified as an anesthesiologist and critical care physician. He also holds a masters of healthcare administration (MHA) degree. 

Dr. Balogh was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada prior to coming to the United States as a Registered Nurse (RN). Dr. Balogh worked as an RN for 15 years primarily in the operating room as a surgical assistant in Houston, Texas. During his time as a nurse, he spent many years helping develop the bariatric program in Houston into a center of excellence. He then attended medical school at Trinity School of Medicine. During his final year of medical school, he also decided to enroll in the MHA program that he would conclude during his first year of residency.

After completion of medical school, he returned to Houston where he originally enrolled in surgical residency pursuing abdominal transplantation. He completed 4.5 years of surgical residency before transitioning to anesthesia. After the completion of his anesthesia residency, he then completed a fellowship in Critical Care medicine. Throughout his tenure as an attending physician he not only had practice within the operating room, but also expanded his passion of caring for organ donors by building an organ donor management program. He has created several protocols within critical care units and the operating room alike; now traveling the country to present his protocols to other hospitals. When Dr. Balogh is not at work; he enjoys spending time with his family, powerlifting, and curating his expansive lego collection. He holds dual citizenship within the United States and Canada alike, while also maintaining fluency in his native Hungarian language.
